FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I send you my script / pitch deck / story treatment / etc.?
For legal reasons, I cannot accept any unsolicited scripts, treatments, story pitches, concept art, etc.
Any unsolicited material along these lines will be deleted unopened.
However, I AM open to discussing commissioned work or collaborative projects from like-minded folks.
In this instance, feel free to get in touch at info@deathrayarts.com to arrange a discussion.
What kind of turnaround time can I expect?
It depends on the nature of the piece and all of the variables involved. In addition to primarily being a one-man operation, I work a day job and also write full-time, so I do what I do around those constraints. I am much closer to an Etsy store than Amazon, if that analogy makes any sense.
What Do You Shoot / Edit On?
At this time, I shoot on a Panasonic GH4. I edit and create motion graphics in Adobe Creative Suite.
What Do You Use to Make Your Music / Sounds?
My setup is very basic: Ableton Live, a handful of FX pedals, a MIDI keyboard, a mixer, a Fender stratocaster, and various pieces of junk. I use digital and analog means interchangeably. Unfortunately, I do not have a Klaus Schulze wall of synthesizers (but I wish!).
What are your rates?
Likewise, it depends on the scope of the project. If you have enough info put together on what you might like to do, get in touch and I will prepare you a quote.
What Don’t You Do?
While Death Ray Arts is not overtly political in its vision, please understand that I don’t create anything derogatory with regards to race, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, etc. It's something I evaluate on a case-by-case basis. If I feel your project or vision is at odds with these values, I will be honest and tell you that it's not a good fit.
